SNICKERS GAY KISS SUPERBOWL COMMERCIAL
This superbowl ad caused quite a stir. Either it offended the prude who think gay kisses are immoral or it offended gay activist groups who think the commercial endorses homophobia. Both groups need to lighten up.

I was surprised when I heard some gay groups wanted this ad pulled--well, I guess I wasn't surprised. You can never please all of the people all of the time. What they were saying is that this ad was homophobic. As a satirist myself I see it as just the opposite. It's a parody of homophobia. Two guys accidently kiss and they get so scared that they might have done something gay that they have to do a manly act of ripping out their chest hairs--it seems to me that that is making fun of uptight straight guys.

The idea that depicting any straight males with a fear of kissing each other is homophobic is ridiculous. To me, kissing another man sounds disgusting, I can barely stand my own stubble. Let's get this out in the open here, most men are not sexy. The ones that are you don't have a chance in hell of kissing. I might be able to tolerate a kiss from a gay male model but not from a mechanic with a beer belly and 3 days of facial growth. Put it into perspective, all you naysayers who didn't like this commercial. It's not the funniest ad I've ever seen but it does speak the truth. Straight male mechanics are repulsed by each other.
