I USUALLY WANT TO SLAP MYSELF ACROSS THE FACE!

Hey.
I looked at your God Hates Homophobes website recently, and I have to say that I'm impressed. Most of the time when a phrase starts with "God hates..." I usually want to slap myself across the face. It's very refreshing to see people using comedy to make a comment about homophobia/heterosexism in this country and how people are using "God" as an excuse to push a hateful agenda (I hate that word). I'm an Atheist, but I'm sick of hearing the Bible and Jesus and God and all that happy stuff used as an excuse to hate anyone.

This is a bit random, but when I saw your quip about the gay Satanist group "Fags hate God," I literally squealed: "I have that on a t-shirt!" I have no idea how familiar you are with the gay hardcore band Limp Wrist, but the design on their shirt consists of a person holding signs that say "Fags hate God." People often give me dirty looks when I wear it.
This is also random, but I'm glad that you linked to Anti-Flag's website. I love them.

Okay, I'm done rambling.

I love that smart ass quote about the Satanist Group.

I didn't know who Limp Wrist was, but that's a great name for a "gay" band. I looked 'em up and you can find more info about them here at Wikipedia. This is what I often mean about taking the power out of words or rather insults I guess. How can you name call a band that is already calling themselves "Limp Wrist" ? Punk is great for letting the steam out of bigoted windbags who would use such tired cliches to insult gay people.

I like Anti-Flag too. I must admit we'd have a heated discussion over economics if we ever sat down but these guys as far as I'm aware have stayed true to their punk roots and ideology with sincerity. The music is pretty damn good too.
