A 14 YEAR OLD FROM GERMANY DOESN'T HATE HOMOSEXUALS

Hey, my name is Isabelle,
I'm from Germany (you will notice that right away...I just had english in school for 3 years^^)
I'm 14 years old, heterosexual (doesn't matter, does it?^^) and I wanted to say: You're great.
There are so many people out there who hate homosexuals and I don't really understand them. I mean...some people don't even hate them but hate to look at them (when they do stuff) But isn't it all the same with heterosexual people? Just because some people say: It's disgusting! You have to think automatical the same, or what?
'Til some years ago I didn't even know that there are homophobes out there. I knew what homosexuals were but homophobes? No!
Even my parents were and are okay with this stuff and I love them for it.
My best friend is gay and some people are really rude to him. I hate them for it!
There isn't one single thing wrong with being homosexual.
I don't even think it's disgusting when they have sex or something. It is just the way they express their love (or lust *smile*)
And "godhatesfags"! Hello??? I'm no really religious christian but I think: If god really made us, he made everything of us. Our soul, or body etc. So he also made homosexual people.
Why hating homosexuals when there are millions of criminals out there?
I really wanted to say that and I love you for this site.

JEFF SWENSON'S RESPONSE:
I always love it when I hear from young people (no, I'm not that old but I'm not in my teens) because the younger generation will make decisions regarding these issues. Morality evolves, regardless of what Christian fundies think, and part of that evolution is a growing acceptance of gays by our youth.
Concerning the sexual acts of homosexuals, yeah, I agree. I don't find it disgusting so much as "different." I seemingly have to repeat myself on this area because most heteros don't understand that sex these days is primarily for pleasure and what heteros do in the bedroom can be considered quite different from the days when procreation was the end goal of any sexual encounter.
Also Isi should not worry about her English. Her email is written better than half the emails I receive from Americans.
